Atlantic Floorball Open 2 is coming to the Henrico Sports & Events Center on August 22–23. This year’s event will offer up two standard sized floorball courts of 5v5 play in the arena section of the venue.

This allows Richmond to host two lanes of competition:

1. Atlantic Floorball Tournament for visiting floorball clubs and competitive play

2. River City Cup for local players, developing teams, small groups, and free agents.

AFO 2 is being played at the Henrico Sports & Events Center, one of the premier indoor sports venues in the Richmond region. Opened in 2023, the $50 million facility was built for tournament-scale events, with seating for thousands and space that can convert across 12 basketball courts. HSEC has already hosted the Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Championship in 2024, 2025, and 2026, and the tournament is staying there through 2029. This is the venue Richmond is using to bring major indoor sports events into the region. Now floorball gets the same stage.
