(Begins 10 AM Saturday & Sunday)
Organized by Richmond Floorball Club, this open tournament runs alongside the clinics. Whether you’re a seasoned league player or just curious, this tournament is built for you.
👥 Got a full squad? Great.
🧑🤝🧑 Just two or three buddies? Even better.
🧍 Flying solo? Perfect. We’ll place you — and we can’t wait to meet you.
Tournament Format:
Game type: 4-on-4 plus one goalie (5 total on court)
Game length: 30–40 minutes
Clock stops only in final 2 minutes of 3rd period (on goals/whistles)
Venue Notes:
Played on sport court inside a hockey rink
Hockey boards, benches, and glass are in play
Ball off boards = play on
Ball over bench wall or into netting = out of play (free hit awarded)
Powhatan Ice Den has AC in the overlook room only
Rink area has fans and dehumidifiers — temps monitored throughout play
💨 This may be the fastest floorball you’ll ever play. Board bounces, hustle, and chaos.

USA Floorball is coming to Richmond to lead a full weekend of certified training for players, coaches, and officials of all levels. Whether you're new to the game or ready to level up, this is your chance to train with national staff, grow your skills, and get connected to the development pipeline.
Certified Referee Clinic
Saturday, August 23
8:00–10:00 AM (2 hours)
Instructor: Vince Faso – USA Floorball Director of Officials
Learn. Enforce. Advance.
This 2-hour clinic is designed for current and aspiring referees who want to:
Deepen their understanding of floorball rules
Improve enforcement technique and confidence
Begin or continue their certification pathway with USA Floorball
Includes:

• Printed materials + digital follow-up resources pathway to level 1 certification

2. Youth Floorball Clinic (Ages 6–14)
Saturday, August 23
8:00–10:00 AM (2 hours)
Coach: Case Connor – USA Men's National Team / U-19 Dev Coach
This dynamic session introduces young players to real gameplay movement, teamwork, and spatial IQ in a fun, inclusive setting. Gear is provided — just bring sneakers and energy.
Note: Taller or more advanced youth may be invited to join the adult session on Sunday with coach approval.
3. Adult Player Development Clinic (Ages 13+)

🕗 8:00–10:00 AM (2 hours)
Instructors: Case Connor & Vince Faso
Built for players at any level — from curious first-timers to serious rec athletes — this session focuses on:
Movement & footwork
Passing, shooting, and positioning
Gameplay decision-making & spatial awareness
Player evaluation and national pipeline entry
All equipment provided. Open to solo players, teams, and crossover athletes from soccer, hockey, or lacrosse.
