Richmond Floorball Club Announces Partnership with the University of Richmond’s Spider Business Hub

Richmond, VA — November 16, 2025
Richmond Floorball Club (RFC) has entered a formal partnership with the University of Richmond’s Spider Business Hub to advance community sports development, strengthen organizational capacity, and support the continued growth of floorball in Central Virginia. RFC will provide mentorship, practical examples of learned concepts, guidance and real strategic learning opportunities for undergrads.

The agreement, executed in July 2025, pairs RFC with a University of Richmond student consulting team supervised by UR faculty. The student team will collaborate directly with RFC across the 2025–2026 academic cycle to deliver applied, practical work that supports RFC’s community-first mission and operational needs.

Partnership Overview

The partnership was established in response to RFC’s rapid local expansion and documented need for capacity-building, sponsorship strategy, and community engagement tools. Deliverables from the UR student team are intended to be practical and applied—toolkits, process maps, sponsorship and grant templates, and operational recommendations tailored to RFC’s Fall 2025 League and future programming.
