Atlantic Floorball Open II

Player Guide

The Atlantic Floorball Open II takes place August 22–23, 2026, at the Henrico Sports & Events Center in Henrico County, Virginia. This guide provides the essential information players and team captains need before the tournament.

Tournament Overview

The Atlantic Floorball Open is a five-on-five, full-length, regulation-size floorball tournament with competitive and recreational divisions. It welcomes regional floorball players to one of the fastest-growing floorball communities on the East Coast, while giving Richmond players from the River City Sport and Social Club league their first structured 5v5 experience on an IFF-standard full court.

The event blends competitive play with a strong developmental environment built on structure, sportsmanship, and a culture of learning fostered by the Richmond Floorball Club.

Player Eligibility

The tournament is open to players who are 18 years of age or older. Players may select the competitive or recreational division that best matches their experience and intended level of play.

Teams and Free Agents

Captains will register complete teams, while individual players and smaller groups may register as free agents. Free agents and groups may register at no cost and will only be charged a registration fee if they are successfully placed on a tournament roster.

There is no minimum roster size required to register a team. However, a team must have at least five field players and one goalkeeper, six total players, available to take the court.

Tournament Format

Teams will compete in a structured five-on-five tournament on a full-length, regulation-size floorball court. Teams should expect approximately three to five guaranteed games, depending on final registration numbers, division size, and tournament interest.

Tournament play will take place Saturday, August 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The complete game schedule and tournament rosters will be published after registration closes on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
